Sites
This is a collection of various pikmin related sites (such as but not limited to the official sites and records of important interviews), inlcuding screenshots, current links (when avaliable), and archive links. These are organized by topic and then publication date, chronologicaly. In cases where dates are unknown I try to put them where they make sense to me based on what game is being talked about, if the site mentions "upcoming" or "recently released" games, and how old the website appears to be.

Note: I am unaware of what the 2012 update changed, as the earliest snapshot saved to the Wayback Machine is dated 2015. The article is a transcript for a private press-confrance held for the media. Once again, most questions are about design choices made for the game, spesifically ones made in response to critisisms of the first game. Intrestingly, someone asked about the potential for a Pikmin 3 on Gamecube or DS, though the only answer was that further development couldn't be talked about. They do discuss desires to find more ways to work with the pikmin, though.

Gamespot interview with Shigefumi Hino (the project leader of the original Pikmin for gamecube), asking mostly about how motion controls have changed the game but also about how a Pikmin game for the DS would work and how the game may have been received compared to how it did on the Gamecube. Quick warning, the article's introduction does describe the pikmin as "enslaved" which is both inaccurate and insensitive.

For this site, you have to click on the 1-3 buttons near the top to switch between the pages of the interview. This works on both archive sites, but note that Archive.is will open these pages in new tabs. An interview with Miyamoto about Pikmin 3, its game design choices, and mistakes learned from past instalments. This one comes off as a much more casual conversation than a formal interview, resulting in a more natural flow and many points being discussed.
Here's links to three tumblr posts that translate the pages to english: part one, part two, and part three. Archives of these links will be added at another time.

Pikmin Space Force
Language: English
Date: November 2001
Wayback Machine Archive Link (only avaliable link)
Pikmin Space Force was a browser based game that has largely been lost to time, though some remenents remain. The WayBack Machine is the only archive that I know of, and its capture is a little wonky. You can also check out this tweet for a video on how the site looked, which has also archived to archive.org!

Archive.is Link is not avaliable
A site that lets you "fly around" various maps in various games, including Pikmin 2 (mainly the 4 main levels, their beta/piklopedia varients, the main menu varients, and the skyboxes used in some caves)! Think what Boundary Break does. Note that functionality of the sight is spotty when using it through the WayBack machine and that is is completly incompatable with Archive.is. Exact date it was published is unknown, but I'm estimating around 2018 based on some information given in its GitHub page.
